On October 19, the Intellectual Property Business Center of Zhongcheng Qingtai and the Zhongcheng Qingtai Law Research Institute jointly hosted the "Intellectual Property Legal Practice Seminar and 2023 Outstanding Topic Sharing Conference" at the Zhongcheng Qingtai Jinan office. Members of the Intellectual Property Business Centers from the Jinan, Qingdao, Dezhou, Liaocheng, Tai'an, and Heze branches attended the event, while members from 18 other branches and affiliated offices watched the live broadcast online.

This intellectual property legal practice seminar was hosted by Xu Changle, the vice president of the Zhongcheng Qingtai Law Research Institute, and included five sharing topics: the key points of offense and defense conversion between the original plaintiff and defendant in trade secret cases, the liability for intellectual property infringement in commissioned processing, patent value evaluation and contribution rate and damage compensation amount, the creation of high-value patents, and the principles of intellectual property protection for data assets in the era of artificial intelligence.
Cheng Shou, the secretary-general of the Zhongcheng Qingtai Intellectual Property Business Center, shared on the topic of "Key Points of Offense and Defense Conversion between the Original Plaintiff and Defendant in Trade Secret Cases," explaining the elements of trade secrets such as confidentiality, value, and secrecy, and analyzing in detail the litigation strategies and techniques for lawyers representing cases of trade secret infringement based on the key points of offense and defense conversion between the original plaintiff and defendant.
Lawyer Lü Yujian, co-deputy director of the Zhongcheng Qingtai Intellectual Property Business Center, elaborated on the theme of "Liability for Intellectual Property Infringement in Commissioned Processing," detailing the "reasonable duty of care" in commissioned processing by combining different types of relevant intellectual property cases, analyzing the issues of liability for intellectual property infringement in commissioned processing, and providing specific suggestions on how processing enterprises can avoid potential intellectual property infringement risks.
Lawyer Mou Xun, co-deputy director of the Zhongcheng Qingtai Intellectual Property Business Center, spoke on the topic of "Patent Value Evaluation and Contribution Rate and Damage Compensation Amount," discussing the normative evaluation of patent value, the contribution rate of patent value, and how these affect the amount of damage compensation in patent infringement litigation from three progressive levels, proposing dispute resolution paths to optimize damage compensation amounts in patent infringement disputes.
Lawyer Sun Chao, co-deputy director of the Zhongcheng Qingtai Intellectual Property Business Center, delivered a speech on the topic of "Creating High-Value Patents," providing an in-depth analysis of the reasons why patent value cannot be realized, the significance of creating high-value patents, the standards for high-value patents, the types of high-value patents, and the production processes for high-value patents.
Lawyer Yu Peng, deputy director of the Zhongcheng Qingtai Intellectual Property Business Center, shared experiences on the theme of "Exploring the Principles of Intellectual Property Protection for Data Assets in the Era of Artificial Intelligence," analyzing the characteristics of artificial intelligence and data assets, and discussing how to protect data assets through three different protection paths: anti-unfair competition law, copyright law, and patent law.
At the end of the meeting, Lawyer Xu Changle summarized the seminar based on the content discussed, focusing on the intangibility, fictitiousness, foreignness, and technicality of intellectual property.
